Oprah Winfrey's 21-Day Vegan Detox Plan
According to People magazine, Oprah Winfrey is going on a vegan diet as part of a 21-day detox plan.
The 54-year-old talk show mogul was inspired by Kathy Freston's book Quantum Wellness and online chats with her Canadian motivational guru Eckhart Tolle. She'll also has chef Tal Ronnen specially preparing all of her bunny grub.
She will forgo all meat, dairy, caffeine, sugar, gluten and alcohol. Sounds like a really fun 3-weeks!
Oprah wrote on her first day of the diet, "This 21-day cleanse gives me a chance to think about [eating] differently and see what my attachments are to certain kinds of foods - and what I'm willing to do to change."
She continued, "Don't know if I'm going to feel better or worse, but I'm willing to try to see if my body at least feels differently."
With all her money, you'd think she would have already figured out how to be healthy, happy, and slim (since it seems to have been her obsession for over 20 years on TV). Or at least paid someone to figure it out for her.
